Gora is now available on iOS and Android, built to help climbers find partners nearby, see who is active, plan sessions, organize trips, and keep the conversation moving in one place.
Hundreds of climbers joined in the first days, with early feedback already pointing to the same need: less chasing messages across scattered groups, more real plans with people who want to get on the wall.
App story
Sergio started climbing in late 2019. In 2025, he quit his job, bought a small camper van, and set out to climb full time.
The partner problem followed him everywhere. Weekdays, weekends, WhatsApp groups, Facebook posts, texting twenty friends, waiting for replies. On the road, moving from crag to crag, that uncertainty became even sharper.
Gora came from that simple frustration: finding a climbing partner should not create stress before the climbing even starts.
Founder
Sergio is a full-stack software engineer with 20 years of experience and a strong focus on mobile apps since 2009. He has shipped hundreds of apps for festivals, corporations, and telcos.
He climbs four to five days a week, travels to discover new crags, and loves meeting people through climbing. For him, climbing is about sharing the send, swapping stories, and having fun with other people.
