Terms of Service & End User License Agreement

1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service and End User License Agreement ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Gora, including the mobile app, website, and related services. By downloading, accessing, or using Gora, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Gora.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Gora. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
3. License to Use the App
Gora is licensed, not sold, to you. Subject to these Terms, Gora grants you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Gora app on Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and applicable Usage Rules.
You may not rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, sublicense, copy, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive source code from, modify, or create derivative works of the app, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
4. Apple Terms
These Terms are concluded between you and Gora, not Apple. Gora is solely responsible for the app, its content, maintenance, support, product claims, legal compliance, and intellectual property claims. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for Gora.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to Gora. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, for the app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a warranty failure are Gora's responsibility to the extent required by law.
Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
5. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Impersonation, misrepresentation, and unauthorized access to another user's account are prohibited.
6. Community Rules and User Content
Gora has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to post, send, or promote content that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, deceptive, infringing, or otherwise harmful.
You also agree not to:
- Use Gora for unlawful purposes or to solicit illegal activity.
- Harass, abuse, threaten, intimidate, or exploit other users.
- Post false, misleading, or deceptive content.
- Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights.
- Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or spam systems.
- Attempt to bypass safety, moderation, or access controls.
You retain ownership of content you post on Gora. By posting content, you grant Gora a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate, improve, and promote Gora.
7. Reporting, Blocking, and Enforcement
You can report or block users in the app. Gora may review, remove, restrict, or preserve content and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create safety, legal, or operational risks. You can contact support at [email protected].
8. Climbing Safety
Climbing is inherently risky. Gora helps climbers connect, but we do not verify the skill level, certifications, judgment, or experience of users. You are responsible for your own decisions, equipment, safety checks, route choices, and interactions with other users.
9. Premium Features and Subscriptions
Gora may offer optional paid subscriptions or premium features via in-app purchases. Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period through your store account settings.
10. Privacy
Gora's collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Gora is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, except where warranties cannot be excluded under applicable law. We do not guarantee that Gora will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gora and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including personal injury, property damage, loss of data, or losses arising from your use of Gora or interactions with other users.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or create safety, legal, or operational risk. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app, website, or email where appropriate. Continued use of Gora after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
